2 Bus Records was founded by, – well, – me, Engineer, Producer, Kenneth Woods, and is a continuous work in progress. – And welcome, first off, if you are reading this.
Most people are recording at home with the wide array of affordable audio equipment and software available in today’s market. You can start with free recording software and a laptop and be making music. It has never been easier to create and record your musical ideas. The pictures you see above and below are taken in my home studio. (At the bottom of the page is a video of the most recent setup.)
My mixing setup uses passive analog summing in order to incorporate analog gear into my hybrid production process. This consist of different instrument and vocal buses being routed out to key analog gear. This setup also enables the ability to use auxiliary sends to other analog gear then sum everything back together and record it back into the computer.
I started decades ago recording with analog gear and tape machines, and although digital is fantastic in many ways, there are some things about actual analog gear that can’t be beat with plugins and emulations.
